GENERAL POLICIES

Conduct

All members, guests and invitees using the facility will be expected to conduct themselves in a safe, courteous and sensible manner, with proper regard for the rights and privileges of others. Profanity will not be tolerated. If a member, guest or invitee is using excessive profanity and it becomes offensive to others, that person will be asked to refrain from using such language. If that member, guest or invitee does not adhere to management's request, they will be asked to leave the premises.

Use of facilities by children

Children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the workout area or cardio room for any reason. Members are responsible for making this clear to their children. Young people between the ages of 12 and 18 years should be directly supervised by a Member when participating in any activities at the facility.

Attire

Appropriate gym attire is required. NO clothing of jeans material or any clothing with rivets, buttons, rhinestones or other hard embellishments are allowed. NO sandals or open-toed shoes are allowed.

Free towel service

Sweat towels are available and bath towelsat the front desk. Members are asked to place any towels belonging to Brenham Fitness in the receptacles provided.

Members may bring their own sweat or bath towel if they wish.

Sauna

Children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the sauna for any reason and children 12 or over should be supervised by Member. Glass containers of any kind are not allowed in the sauna and members are asked to remove any newspapers, magazines, etc. that they may take in there. This includes trash.

Lockers & showers

Showers are equipt with shampoo and body wash.

Daily use lockers are provided at no cost to members and guests. These are daily use lockers only—personal items left in a locker will be removed and put in lost and found. Brenham Fitness is not responsible for any lost or stolen personal property. Member uses the lockers at their own risk.

MEMBERSHIP POLICIES

Check-in and guest registration

All members will be required to scan in at the front desk upon entering the facility.Guests will be required to fill out a courtesy card and sign a waiver of liability. These are available at the front desk and should be filled out, signed and returned to front desk personnel before entering the main area of the facility.

Membership cards / key tags

Each member will be issued a membership card/key tag in their name for use through the duration of their membership. This card/key tag can only be used for access to the facility by the person it was issued to. It is the member's responsibility to keep this card/key tag and bring it to the facility for the purpose of checking in at the front desk, each time he/she enters the facility. The charge for a replacement is $5.00. Members will not be allowed entry without their card/key tag.

Membership classifications

INDIVIDUAL: any person 18 years of age or older. If the applicant is under the age of 18, a legal guardian must co-sign the agreement and by doing so, assumes all legal and financial responsibilities set forth in the membership agreement.

FAMILY ADD-ON: the spouse or significant other of the primary member, or a dependent child living at the same residence as the primary member. Children no longer considered dependents of the primary member or any other relative will not be considered for this membership classification and must purchase a membership for themselves.

Monthly dues

Monthly payment plans are paid to Brenham Fitness Center through its Pre-Authorized Payment Program only. Member agrees to authorize his/her bank or credit card company to make the payment for monthly dues, any unpaid delinquent dues, and any fees due under their membership agreement.

Fees

The following fees will be charged:
$25.00 - any type of returned check (including but not limited to
NSF, Account Closed, Stop Payment)
$20.00 - any EFT or credit card not honored

Membership cancellation

1 Year Paid In Full memberships may be cancelled only if Member moves more than 25 miles away from Brenham Fitness. Member must provide new address and phone number, postmarked from that location and sent to Brenham Fitness by certified mail, return receipt requested. 1 Year Paid In Full memberships will be cancelled effective the last day of the month in which request is postmarked. 1 Year Paid In Full membership refunds will be prorated and freeze time will not be refunded.

Month-to-month memberships may be cancelled at any time with written notice from Member either by certified mail, return receipt requested or in person at the front desk with the proper forms signed, dated and approved. Members request for cancellation must be received by Brenham Fitness 30 days prior to next billing cycle. There is no cancellation fee. There are no refunds on month-to-month memberships and the cancellation will be effective the last day of the month following notice of cancellation.

MEMBER SHOULD NOT ASSUME ANY MEMBERSHIP HAS BEEN CANCELLED UNLESS A CANCELLATION CONFIRMATION IS RECEIVED. Confirmations will be sent to members within 10 days of request.

Freezing a membership

1 Year Paid In Full memberships are the only memberships that are eligible to freeze. Freezing allows a member to save his/her membership for use at a later date. The minimum freeze time is 14 days (or 2 weeks); maximum freeze time is 6 months. To freeze his/her membership, a Member must sign a freeze card at the front desk. Member will receive a copy of the freeze card and must return that card in order to unfreeze the membership.

Member house accounts

Members may set up a house account for the purpose of purchasing drinks, bars, etc. at the front desk when participating in activities at the facility. Member is required to maintain a credit balance in this account, as this account is not a charge account. If Member does not have sufficient credit at the time of a purchase, front desk personnel will alert Member of balance and ask Member to make a payment. If a house account becomes delinquent by more than $10.00 further purchases, using said account will not be allowed until payment is made and credit is available.

Management reserves the right to amend the rules, policies and terms of membership at any time for the betterment of
